Review:
I have been feeding my three dogs Evalution diet for five years now. I pre make a batch mixed with different vegetables and sometimes cooked turkey meat, and keep it in the fridge for the week. (This way the rest of my family can feed the dogs if I'm not home! )

My pets (2 Dog and 2 Cats) have been on Evolution Diet for 8 years. Both my dogs and my cats love the food and have been on it since they were 4 months old. My younger cat was very sick when I brought her home and I was nervous about putting her on a vegei diet until she was well. My Vet uses this product and recommended that I switch right away because it's such a high quality food. Once I put her on Evolution she had a speedy recovery. Everyone that has had contact with my pets have made comments on how beautiful their fur is.

Purchased food on a referral by another dog-owner who's dog suffers from IBD. Good stuff, smells like tomato. I find the soaking period a bit of an inconvience, but probably worth the preplanning. Haven't had any problem feeding to my 4 dogs. Dogs look healthy, good appetite, but didn't fix the IBD unfortunately.
Review:
This is a very healthy dog food. There are no by-products in this food. It is vegetarian and it is very healthy for dogs. I personally think dogs will live longer by eating this type of food. In fact, Evolution company has testimonials from owners about how the dogs actually live longer and are healthier. If you love your dog, get this food. You and and your dog won't regret it. When dogs eat this food after a period of a week or two, I have seen a major difference in the softness and shine of their coat.
Peace and Happiness,

I feed my cat and dogs the vegan kibble from Evolution. It really is a great product and I add it to my own homemade vegan dog and cat food or if I am traveling it's great for on the go! My dogs and cat really love this kibble, and their health is so much better for it.

Q&A
Why is my dog too much shy or submissive with other dogs?
Sandra's Question:My german sherperd dog is already 10 months old. She is still very shy with other dogs. Even a very small size dog can chase her. If other dogs approach her aggresively, she submited immediately. I would like her to play with other dogs happily with confidence. Most dogs she met in off-leash park were very nice(not as aggressive as she thought). Please give me some tips on how to train her to be confident like a gsd should be.
Sandra's Answer
Unfortunately, while GSDs are *supposed* to be confident, many are not. Many in the US are products of back yard breeders and because of this they are prone to improper temperament. Also, at ten months old, she is still very much a baby. You wouldn't expect a toddler to stand up to a bullying teenager no matter how small or dorky that teenager was. It is your job to get in there when other dogs approach her aggressively and get her out of the situation/prevent the other dog from approaching. As someone else mentioned, I would rather have a dog that submits to even the smallest dog than one that is fearful or aggressive to them...especially a breed like the GSD with it's dubious public relations/reputation. As for increasing confidence, you stepping in and ending the situation when you feel that she is becoming overwhelmed will go a long way. After all, everyone's braver when they know someone's got their back if they should run into trouble. Also, basic obedience will do wonders for a dog's self confidence...especially if you use positive training methods. As she learns what you are asking/expecting of her she will become more confidant as she realizes that she knows what it is you want. GSD's are frequently happy to please their owners and if she knows she's making you happy then she will be more confidant in her abilities.

dogs
bj woodruff's Question:should dogs be able to go on lunges. why lounge
Dog Lover's Answer
If you are referring to a lunge line, like they use with horses, yes. It allows the dog to expend excess energy. However, make sure you reverse the direction, to equalize the muscles used. It also has him out with you, and running without pulling.

What do dog fighters generally do with the ears of the dogs they intend to fight?
Danzi's Question:I saw a pit-bull type dog at the shelter with ears that were docked very short to the head. Does this indicate that this dog was used or was intended to be used for dog fighting? What do dog fighters do with the ears of the dogs anyway? In old days didn't they used to dock them real close to the head?
Erica's Answer
Most people who get "fighting" breeds crop the ears with no intent on fighting. It just gives the dog a mean, watchdog look (even though they can be super sweet). But since it is at a shelter, why don't you see the staff if they know anything? I kind of doubt it because then it would probably have aggression problems with other dogs and all shelter dogs are tested for that.
